The LocalTalkPCI 1.2 extension corrects problems that prevent certain LocalTalk printers from appearing in the Chooser, that cause the mouse to respond erratically when the computer communicates with LocalTalk devices, and that make an AppleShare IP server crash under high loads. Requires: North American English Mac OS 8.1. It is only supported on the following systems: - Power Macintosh G3-based CPUs (except G3-based PowerBooks) and the following models of PCI desktop CPUs: 7200, 7300, 7500, 7600, 8200, 8500, 8600, 9500, and 9600. - Apple Workgroup Server 7250, 7350, 8550, 9650 and Macintosh Server G3. - For CPU speeds between 100MHz and 180MHz, you must have L2 cache memory present; for CPU speeds from 200MHz and greater, L2 cache memory is optional. The LocalTalkPCI driver will not load on any PowerPC PCI Macintosh with a CPU speed less than 100Mhz.
